Estimating your daily calorie need

There's many different ideas out there of how many calories one should eat, especially when it comes to weight loss.
There's a link to a free BMR calculator here, but keep in mind that your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is the amount of calories your body needs to survive at rest (rest in this case equates to sleeping). The more activity that you do during the day, the more calories you're going to require.
There are many resources available to you to help determine your particular requirements, and the following are the ones that I have found helpful for both myself and past clients.

Please use caution when going on a restricted calorie diet. Too few calories can cause you to plateau in your weight loss goals and/or make you severely ill.
